Species Account

A scarce moth in Kent, known mostly from certain localities as indicated on the distribution map, but still recorded annually in the county.

Highly distinctive as an adult and in the larval stage. Certainly a tricky one to try and rear given the larval propensity to overwinter three or four times.

Record Verification

Grade 1 adults are generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species, but records outside documented range or flight period may require photos.
