Pine-tree Lappet
B&F 1639 RES 66.009
DistributionPhenologyReporting RatePhotos
A very rare migrant in Kent. Just one record (the database shows three but this is not thought to be accurate) in August from Littlestone in 2004. This distinctive species flies in Europe from May to September with a second generation further south into October. Treated as a pest species in some places, this may be one which we see on the increase along the Kent coast.
Grade 1 — adults are generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species, but records outside documented range or flight period may require photos.
