An adventive species, on Annex A of the British List (Agassiz, Beavan and Heckford).
First Kent example taken in a garden in Dartford (VC16) in May 2022, which constitutes the third British record. As with previous records, this individual may be an immigrant or could have been accidentally imported.
Prior to this, one was attracted to light in a Hertfordshire garden in September 2014, the first British record. Another taken near Cambridge in May of the same year wasn't correctly identified until October.
The species is native to America but has been introduced across Europe.
